Inseparable: The Dead and the Living
in the The Map of Unseen Things
Cotuit Library
871 Main Street
Cotuit, MA 02635

A recurring theme in The Map of Unseen Things is that life and death are inseparable. The dead show up in dreams, memories, and imaginings—especially at this time of year. But what about when we sense their presence as living birds or animals, through objects and family stories, even as genetic echoes? Is this merely how our brains process loss? Or could there be messages in these experiences?
Falmouth resident Robin Melavalin will select poems relating to death and dying from The Map of Unseen Things for an interview-style conversation and reading with author Brett Warren. Refreshments will be provided, and books will be available for purchase.
